CHARITABLE GIVING AND HANDS-ON SERVICE

Founded
in 1949, the Kiwanis Foundation of Indianapolis serves our community through
two major avenues: hands-on service projects and charitable giving. Through
the generosity of our members both past and present, our
Foundation was able to give over $200,000 for scholarships, grants and
programs that directly benefited the youth of central Indiana in 2007.
Funding for the Foundation comes from tax-deductible gifts, memorials,
gifts honoring celebrations or special events, bequests in wills, special
fundraising drives, and annual contributions by club members.
At the end of 2007, the market value of the Foundation's portfolio exceeded
$5.6 million. Goelzer Investment Management professionally manages the
Foundation's portfolio and the Foundation's board of directors meets every
other month to review and approve funding requests.

 KORNERSTONE
SOCIETY
Thanks to the generous donations over the years of our
fellow Kiwanis Club of Indianapolis members, our Kiwanis Foundation of
Indianapolis, Inc. is now annually providing $200,000-$250,000 in grants,
scholarships, and programs that directly benefit the youth of Central
Indiana.
To help encourage current and future club members to follow
the lead of previous donors, the Kiwanis Foundation of Indianapolis, Inc.
has extablished a Kornerstone Society to recognize individuals who have
designated a future gift to the Foundation in their estate plans.
Membership in the Kornerstone Society is offered to those
special individuals who signify they have already or they intend to provide
a gift to the Kiwanis Foundation of Indianapolis, Inc. through a bequest
in a will, a life insurance policy, or through some other estate planned
gift. Membership is open to anyone regardless of the gift size. Participation
and membership can be confidential if desired.
 LINCOLN
FELLOWS PROGRAM
The Lincoln Fellows Program was begun under the leadership
of former Kiwanis President John L. Price and member Sol Blickman in 1992.
This voluntary program allows individuals to pledge $1000 in support of
the Abe Lincoln Scholarship Program, to be paid in four years or less.
Contributions are payable to the Kiwanis Foundation of Indianapolis and
are restricted to the support of the Abe Lincoln Scholarship Program.
Lincoln Fellows need not be Kiwanis members. Anyone
interested in supporting this program is welcome to become a Lincoln Fellow.
A membership can also be contributed to honor a loved one, a business
associate, etc. All gifts to the Kiwanis Foundation of Indianapolis are
tax deductible and very much appreciated by the Foundation, the Kiwanis
Club of Indianapolis, and all those who believe in the Abe Lincoln Scholarship
Program.
